How long do the eyelash extensions last?

Typically a full set of eyelash extensions will last up to 6 weeks with proper aftercare without any refills. We cannot guarantee how long your set will last for because it all depends on a client’s skin type, lash type and how well they follow our aftercare guidelines.

How often do I have to come for lash refills?

We offer refills on our eyelash extension sets starting at 1 week going up to 4 weeks. We do not offer refills on any of our partial eyelash extension sets. It is recommended that you come in for a refill every 2-3 weeks to maintain a full look. When you come in for a refill you must have a minimum of 30% left of the eyelash extension set. If you do not have 30% left of your set you will have to book for a new set to be applied.

Will I ever need a break from eyelash extensions?

Typically no, you do not need to take a break from eyelash extensions. However, some people get seasonal allergies that reduces the retention of the eyelash extensions. During this period we do recommend a break so that you’re eyes don’t become irritated. Otherwise you do not need to take a break because the eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lashes.

How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions?

It depends on the eyelash extension set that you choose to have applied. Our smallest set takes approximately 45 minutes, but our largest set will take approximately 3 hours to complete. Depending on how many natural lashes a client may have, the session times may vary. You can see a full list of the eyelash extension sets we offer with their application time and prices here.

Do you fill other people’s lash work?

We do not feel comfortable refilling on other lash artists’s work. We have a high standard that we strive to uphold, due to this, liability purposes and because the techniques, experience and products used are unknown we do not refill other lash artist’s work. However, this doesn’t mean we won’t take a look. You can schedule a complimentary lash consultation along with the type of refill you desire and we can examine your current lashes and give you are honest assessment. If the current lashes are an unhealthy application and do not meet our standards, we always recommend a removal and new set be applied.

What type of eyelashes do you use?

We use only high-quality, cruelty free synthetic mink and synthetic silk eyelash extensions that come in a wide variety of lengths, curls, thicknesses and colours.

How many lashes do you apply for a classic full set?

Our classic eyelash extension set has a 1:1 ratio of one eyelash extension to every natural lash the client has, avoiding any baby lashes. If a client has 100 natural lashes, they will have 100 eyelash extensions applied. All of our sets are unlimited counts except for our partial sets, this ensures each client receives a full look highly customized to them.

What are Russian volume lashes?

Russian volume eyelash extensions are hand made eyelash extension fans that contain 5-6 extensions. These eyelash extensions are thinner than classic eyelash extensions so that it doesn’t weigh down the natural lash. Volume eyelash extensions create a full, dense look and are best at shorter lengths.

How do I choose the look I want?

Everyone has their own unique style, we ask you a variety of lifestyle questions at the beginning of your appointment to help determine which look is best suited to you. We also asses your natural lashes, eye shape and colour to determine your best styling.

Are there natural looking extensions?

Eyelash extensions are highly customizable. If you desire to have a very natural look we choose the lash lengths, curl and colour that will best achieve that natural look for you.

I want a very dramatic look is that possible?

You can be as dramatic as you like with your eyelash extensions. Our experienced lash artists will help guide and educate you in what your lashes can handle and how we can achieve the drama you desire.

I have blonde lashes, does that matter?

Not at all! Even though your natural lashes are blonde, we can still apply eyelash extensions to them. It is important to note that if you have very blonde lashes, its best to have touch ups more frequent than not so that you don’t see the blonde roots of the lashes poking through.

Can I get lash extensions if I have really small lashes?

Yes you can! We can apply extensions to any length of natural lash, the important thing to understand is that natural lashes can only hold so much weight. This means that if you have too long or too thick of eyelash extensions applied to your lashes that are short, you will have damage over time. Its best to only go a little bit longer than your natural lash length to ensure a healthy application.

How do I remove the lashes?

If you wish to have your extensions removed, we always recommend scheduling an extension removal appointment. This will ensure that the extensions are removed properly and in a healthy way. If you try to remove the extensions at home you can risk damaging your natural lashes.

I wear contact lenses is that okay?

If is perfectly fine that you wear contacts, we only ask that you remove them during your application time. Otherwise you can wear your contacts before and after your appointment.

Are lash extensions heavy like strip lashes?

No. Eyelash extensions should feel like your regular lashes, weightless. If you currently have eyelash extensions and you can feel them or they feel heavy, than you may have an improper application and should have them assessed. If the extensions feel heavy than your lash artist used extensions that are too thick or too long for your natural lashes and its weighing them down. This in turn can cause damage and you can run the chance of loosing your natural lashes. We ensure that the extensions are matched properly to your natural lashes so that there is no added weight to them.

Does the process hurt?

Not at all! The majority of our client’s fall asleep for what we like to call a “Lash Nap”. However, if you have hyper sensitive eyes you could experience light stinging or burning sensations. This is not from anything getting into your eye but from the adhesive that is letting off low levels of fumes. If you are hyper sensitive and are unsure if extensions are best for you, you can schedule a complimentary patch test that we can perform so that you can see if you will have any reactions.

Will the lashes damage my natural lashes?

No eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. The only time eyelash extensions will cause damage is due to poor applications. We have years of experience and extensive trainings. We strive for nothing but high end service to ensure nothing but healthy lashes.

What are the chances of an allergic reaction?

Allergic reactions are very rare, but can happen. If you’ve never had extensions before or have had reactions in the past, we always recommend scheduling a patch test. If you do react from a patch test, the reaction will be minor and will subside in a day or two. The bad news is that eyelash extensions are not right for you, if this is the case we always recommend a lash lift and tint which will greatly transform your natural lashes.

Are there any options for those who are allergic to lash extensions?

Currently there is no eyelash extension adhesive available that is developed for those who suffer from allergies. The best we can do is assess whether or not you are have reactions to the carbon in the adhesive (this is what makes the adhesive black) or the bonding agent (cyanoacrylate). You can have a patch test with our regular black adhesive, if you have a reaction, once you are healed we can perform a second patch test with our clear adhesive. This adhesive does not contain any carbon ingredients. The good news is that if you don’t react to our clear adhesive, you are just sensitive to carbon and can still get eyelash extensions. The bad news is that if you do react to our clear adhesive, you are allergic to cyanoacrylate and you cannot get eyelash extensions.

I have sensitivities to makeup and/or other beauty products/services, can I still have eyelash extensions done?

We won’t know for sure if you will be sensitive to the eyelash extensions. It is always best to schedule a patch test to try out the eyelash extensions before you commit to a full set.

I’m a bride or going on vacation, when is the best time to book an appointment?

We always recommend booking your appointment a minimum of 72 hours before the day of your event or trip. The 72 hours will give us time to assist you in case a reaction or shedding occurs or you need something fixed so that your lashes will look perfect.

Is there anything I should do before coming to my appointment?

Yes! Always make sure that you are coming with a clean face! If you have makeup on or around your eyes we cannot guarantee we will be able to perform the service for you. By arriving with makeup on, it takes away from the allotted service time because we must ensure that every bit of makeup is fully removed.
